Group,
After the posting the other day about triumpconsoles.coim I sent an inquiry
about whether there was a console specifically for the TR3.
I received the following response however am probably more than a year away
from being able to try one out so if someone else is interested in taking
him up on his offer, here is what he says:
==========================================
>From: "Triumph Consoles" <triumph@carolina.rr.com>
>
>Jim: Thank you for the question. The mold for the console was made to fit
>the TR4 thru TR6. I have tried fitting the REAR console section to a TR3
>and I thought it fit as good as my TR6. The width of the drive shaft
>tunnel is almost the same.
>When the units came from the molder, I asked him not to remove the
>material from a few units where the hand brake is located. These were to
>be used on the TR4 and should be OK for a TR3.
>The front half of the console ( the part with the clock ) will not fit the
>TR2 thru 3 as there is no dash support for the console to meet.
>Since you would be the first to try one on a TR3, I will make you a money
>back offer if it does not fit or if it does not meet your expectations.
>All I ask is to please give me some feedback and not to alter it if it is
>to be returned.
>The price would be the amount listed on the web site Tell me what you
>wish to have installed on the console and your zip code and I will
>forward the exact price.
>Again, thank you for your question.
