The other day I was looking at my friend's MGA and he was pointing out
the number on the vacuum advance, stating that he had the wrong one. The
number on the advance is 2-6-3. He told me that it means that the advnce moves
the timing 2 degrees when the vacuum is 6 millimeters of water and it
progresses to a maximum of 3 degrees advance. Pretty neat. I always wondered
just what the hell those numbers meant.
Is there a website that has all of the vacuum advance data for the
different cars? Does anyone know off hand what the TR3/TR4 vacuum advance is
supposed to be?
TIA,
