It seems to me that the Moss prep kit is pretty much the same as the one
sold by POR-15. If that's the case, I've had good luck with the POR product.
My TR6 tank was just plain nasty when I got it. The inside was coated with
gunk, and under the gunk, rust. The only problem I ran into was that there
was only a quart or so of the degreaser/cleaner. I didn't have enough, and
found basically the same stuff (Zep) at Home Depot. As for the etch and
slushing compound, there was plenty and both worked very well. It's been 4
years and no problems.
