Before I go and drop tranny ... which is like dropping trou, but less
fun ... to check on a frozen clutch, it occurs to me I had better first
check out the thrust washers.

What crank endfloat play is in the acceptable range for this, and what's
the best way to do the measurement?  There is almost no clearance
between the rad and the crank pulley on my car.
