What part of the head? Surface or interior? I guess the worst case temp
one would expect to see on the surface of the head is about 250 deg F (120
C). The exceptions would be the vicinity of the exhaust ports. I would
expect the rear main seal to see 200 deg F regularly and around 250 F worst
case.
