>Now I have never owned a Weber carb. However, in the early 70's I
worked for a firm that made racing parts for inline engines. They would
buy Weber carbs by the case. Weber shipped in a nice wooden crate. At
the time using a crate for a coffee table was in vogue. So I convinced
my boss to give me one of the empty Weber crates. I put hinges and hasp
on the lid and varnished it. For some unknown reason it irritated the
hell out of my ex-wife. Of course everything irritated her. It remains
in my closet to this day as a repository for valuable memorabilia.

In the closet?!!! Since she's gone, drag it out into the living room!
Neat.
