Just to be clear, I did not mean there was anything wrong with moving into
other markets, or intend to be particularly knocking Moss. My point was
simply that, to Moss, we are just an income stream (and one that appears to
be inadequate for their needs). To TRF, we are fellow enthusiasts.

Sorry about your toes, Peter. I know there are Triumph enthusiasts working
at Moss, certainly yourself and others as well. But if their management is
Triumph enthusiasts, I've yet to hear about it. Triumphs have always been
"second best" at Moss (IMO), now they seem to be "third best". As just a
single example, Moss brought out a supercharger for the Miata some 5 years
ago, and a supercharger for the MGB over a year ago. A TR6 supercharger is
still a "maybe, if there's enough market for it".

Feel free to quote any counter-examples. This is not intended as a flame in
any way, only the facts as I see them. If anyone in Moss management is
restoring a TRS, or a LHD TR5, or a famous racing Spitfire, I would
certainly like to hear about it.

Right. And today, if I were a flat-head Ford enthusiast, Edelbrock is about
the last place I would look for parts to keep it on the road.

I see it as an issue of commitment. Moss (and Edelbrock) are committed to
following the dollars. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, it certainly
will help ensure their long-term survival. However, TRF is committed to
"preserving the marque". Ultimately, they will probably fail. Personally,
I would like to see that day postponed as long as possible, preferably until
after I'm beyond caring.
