sealing pinion seal?

Listers,

I just finished completely rebuilding my TR4's rear axle, and am ready to 
nail it all back together.  The pinion and axle seals all have metal 
bodies, which seat against the metal axle housing.  What's the 
list.preferred_method for sealing the seal body to axle housing interface 
such that there's no long-term seepage?
