This seems to be a popular topic (no, Charles, I am not ignoring you) ...
I'll try to get some photos taken & posted of how to reassemble the control
head Real Soon Now.

Best place to start, IMO, is by removing the wiring sub-harness for the
control head if you haven't already. Remove the 4 bullet connectors from
their housings behind the horn, lay the wires out in front of the car and
then pull them through the stator tube. Best to have help, one to feed the
wires in and the other to gently pull on them, but it can be done by oneself
by working back and forth between the two ends.
Then you can reassemble the control head as a unit, with the subharness
attached, before reinstalling it into the steering wheel. Before you do,
make sure the three grub screws turn easily in the steering wheel, maybe
even coat them with a bit of anti-seize.

PS, if anyone has a link to the user's manual for a Fujifilm FinePix 3800
digital camera, that would help. Can't seem to find mine, nor recall how to
take extreme close-ups where the autofocus won't work.
