If any u-joint let go in the drivetrain the whole diff would
differentiate and you'd go nowhere, unless you have a locked or
limited-slip diff. I'd put money on one of the halfshaft u-joints
before one on the driveshaft itself. Shouldn't be too much trouble
as long as it didn't smash things up too badly. Of course, RY or RZ
or somebody will probably say that to replace a u-joint you have to
invest 20 hours in pulling the rear hubs apart, and then fix other
things that you always meant to do anyway while you're at it.
