Listers;
I was reading Graham Robson's Triumph Spitfire & GT6 last night and he
mentions that when the engineers switched to the Rotoflex suspension on the
MkII
they used an aluminum casting for the lower suspension arm. I have a GT6+ and
when I disassembled and cleaned my Rotoflex suspension components I found my
arm
covered with rust. So my assumption is that the material is a cast
steel......does anyone know if there was ever a cast aluminum arm? Seems like
the wrong
material for a suspension arm. Forged aluminum I'd buy into but I don't think
they were using that kind of technology in late '60's UK auto design.
