Yeah.
One morning I was cranking up the TR3 to go to work.
Is that smoke I see?

Oh my God, it is smoke!
I popped the hood and the wire to the coil was on fire. Yes! In flames!
I managed to blow it out - the adrenaline was high as this wire was just 3
inches above the fuel pump.
The wire had apparently been resting on the speedo cable all these years and it
had rubbed through the insulation.
That scared me so much I've installed 2 fire extinguishers in the garage and
one in the car. I've also practiced ripping them off the walls and yanking the
pins.
When I replaced the wire, I ran it through some small bore rubber tubing so it
wouldn't rub on anything. I also put in a battery cut-off switch so I could
sleep at night.
When I get home from work, I pat the dash and say "Good girl". I then pop the
hood, disconnect the battery and have a look around.
