Shipping a car from England to the East Coast of the USA

I know that this has been addressed before but perhaps some who has recently
shipped a car from England to the USA could recommend shippers, advise as to
what forms are required , what the cutoff date is for emissions exemptions
etc. An English friend wants to bring his older Marcos over to the USA. I'm
not sure if he will sell it and return to the UK or take the car back with him
after his stay is completed. I would appreciate any help that I can pass on to
him.
