If you want the absolute sweetest sound rather than the loudest sound,
purchase a muffler from "Smithy's Mufflers". They are on the internet.
Their mufflers are a straight-through glass pack and you must specify inlet
and outlet diameters. I had a local muffler shop make up a pipe from header
to muffler and muffler to the back of the car for $200. By the way, if you
are serious about enhancing performance, don't use the stock pipe diameter.
Get it up to about 2-1/2" if possible (at least that's what my local
chassis dyno says).
