I sent my frame out for trailing arm repair and to fix rust here and
there and . well, I am so totally disappointed at what they did to it,
I'm still sick. I won't name the shop because they're trying to make it
right and I won't say how bad a job that they did yet. But if they can't
put it right, I WILL post pictures for all to decide for themselves and
warn others of their work. The estimate was verbally not to exceed $1000
- that's A LOT as far as I'm concerned for a daily driver - but the bill
is WAY beyond that and the repair consists of a patchwork of metal
pieces welded on top of the rusty areas without regard for fit or
finish.

My wife is a co-owner in this venture and she was crying in the truck
while I choked off my own tears. Many years saving and getting ready for
the final assembly and we splurged a professional job, spending her
bonus check from work and driving many hours to deliver and pickup the
finished frame.

We're legally bound to pay for the other frame because I signed the work
order. I've even considered selling off 7 years of my restoration work,
piece by piece on eBay. I'm a perfectionist and every piece has been
properly media blasted and appropriately powder coated and/or painted.
Still feel like throwing up.

So it brings me to asking all of you for help. At this point I don't see
any way out of this mess other than to find another frame. I don't want
to go through this again so we're looking for a completely rust free
Texas, Arizona or California frame. The car is a 1966 solid axle TR4A
but I could modify an IRS or convert if the IRS bits, etc are complete
with the new frame. I guess then also a TR250 or early 6 would do as
well.

Any help is appreciated. And thanks in advance.
