In 1957 I had a TR3 with 48 spoke wire wheels, not knowing they were
"Not Safe" I drove in Club races at Halls Tennessee, ran high speed
gymkhanas (re: autocross), delighted in amusing my friends by doing
"moonshiner turns" using the flyoff brake. None of these events
caused the slightest problem with the wheels...of course at that time
they were new, I have no idea what the effects of 45+ years would
have on them now...
