Tom,
TR 'wiper boxes' can be freed to spin easily again but if their teeth are 
worn to points I would spend the money there. They should also have their 
rubber 
seal at the shaft intact to keep water out and lube in.
Otherwise many TR wiper parts can be saved ie; just flip the wiper's 'drive 
cable' over for access to all new coil teeth. New brushes can be bought for the 
motor (if needed) - then a relube may be all that is required.
Sometimes tweaking the bezels at the drive posts can bend the aluminum 'rack 
tubes' inside but that's easy to straighten if you take all the guts out of 
the air chamber.
The tedious bit is getting the wiper boxes out from under the dash.
