Tuning TR6

I'm getting a lot closer to starting my car after a partial rebuild of the
carbs, new plugs, condenser, wires, rotor, cap, points and adjustment of the
valves.  I'm guessing I'll need to adjust the timing and the mixture on the
carbs???  What is the best method for doing this?  Also, are there any
tutorials?

 

Sorry for all the questions. I'm fairly new to this!
