I got my spare from a MG Midget in the local "Pull yer own" junkyard.  Junk
dizzys are fairly common on eBay too.

However, I doubt seriously that's your problem, the XR700 should be able to
tolerate a good deal of variation and the pivot plate isn't likely to get
that loose.  Are you sure it's not slop in the shaft instead ?
