If you don't need the choke to start it cold, then it's running way too rich
for some reason ... which may explain why it won't start hot.
If you're using the choke when it's hot, you may be flooding it ... which
would make it hard to start.
Have you checked the float level recently ? Try setting it about 1/8" lower
than normal and see if that affects the problem. (If not, put it back.) Do
you have SU or ZS carbs ?
