John,

Snip or cut off the hose as close to the end fitting as possible, then
insert a deep well socket over what remains of the hose and the end fitting.
Then simply remove the severed end fitting with your socket wrench (you'll
probably need a 12" extension for your socket wrench to comfortably reach
the end fitting).  This is by far the easiest method, but getting the new
hose on is a bit more a of a task.  A set of stubby wrenches and quite a bit
of patience will aid in tightening the new rear hoses.
