Well......can't resist adding to the mix!.......

Bought my '64 Econoline, Heavy Duty, Window Van.........in 1963..........it
had a 4 speed tranny with a column shift..........a Daganham (SP?) tranny from
the ole country........I'm on my forth tranny
rebuild...........but...........my LBC Guru told me that it was English, and
while Ford recommended 90WT gear
oil...........it should have been running on about the equilivant of 30WT
motor oil......he rebuilt it, put in different gear oil.......and have had no
further problems for 30,000 miles, so far. Engine was rebuilt at about
90,000
with no further problems....(this 101 HP engine is of course a bit small for
this 1 Ton,' Heavy Duty' truck)........I now have an additional 30,000 on the
engine, again no problems........... at this point......you'd have to have a
lot of money to buy my truck!!!..........cause I don't know what I would be
comfortable with, in replacing it! (Heck!.......it gets more comments than my
TR4A and my wife's '67 Jag XKE combined!!!...........ahhhhh! THAT
vanity.........gets you every time!!!, eh???.....<g>.......

Cheers!.

Clark
