An inertia switch is an inertia switch.  Go to a junk yard and find on a a
recent model car.  Not the orientation when you remove it.  Most of them
are mounted in a protected space and will not be subjected to the weather
at all.  I used a switch from a Ford Probe in my TR6.  Cost about $5.
