in 1993 I had a TR8 that was sitting in my garage in Mass for about 6
months, I always thought it was quite a find , since i never saw it leak any
oil.
I was going to take it to Florida to visit my parents, so I brought it to
a garage and had them check it out: oil change, brakes, ect.
I headed south on 95. I got to Rocky Mount N.C.
I heard the loudest bang and the car stopped all forward movement.
I found out why it never leaked; No tranny fluid to leak.
Needless to say I spent several days in Rocky Mount, waiting for a used
tranny to come from Mathews in Alabama.
Good thing I had a copy of a Hemmings in the trunk.
Then I was on my way.
After that the car made it from Ft Myers to L.A. and back without a hitch.
Now I always check for tranny oil.
cheers
Al Salvatore
