I have not attempted this but seeing no other responses (except for
powdercoating) I would suggest two possible approaches.

OK, three.  First clean them as best you can.  They might just be dirty.

If cleaning them doesn't work well enough, then you probably have oxidation
which can be cleaned up with carefull sanding with some 400 grit wet-or-dry
sandpaper followed by 1000 grit and then a polishing.

A third approach would be to get some plastic bumper paint and paint them.
The paint will (hopefully) will the small crevices and pockets that are
causing the hazing appearance.  They make a primer/surfacer product for
this application if you want to fo that route but I'd be inclined to take
the straight sanding route if there is going to be that much work.
