It will work fine. The DOT 4 remains distinct, it will not mix with the DOT 5, but doesn't hurt anything otherwise. It does tend to turn black and gooey over time, so you may see it if you do ever pull a slave apart. But, I've converted several cars to DOT 5 this way and never had a problem with the remaining DOT 3/4. Randall |
