I'd have to look at the model number, but that sounds
like the Sears compressor I bought last fall. I bought the
'laid down' version (they have a matching vertical version)
I've used it for all my 'new' air tools as well as painting
the whole car during my GT6 MKIII resto.
Just two days ago I used it to sand blast a valve cover.
After about a half hour.... I'd say the sand blasting
was the biggest load...and required me to back off to about
a 80% duty cycle of blasting to maintain enough pressure
to siphon sand out of the bucket to the blasting gun.
It's a noisy sucker though. It takes about 10 minutes to pump up fully
and shut off at 140psi. Running my butterfly (90ft/lbs) hand impact
wrench. I'm good for about 10 full minutes of impact operation
removing/installing nuts and bolts before the compressor will kick
back on to pump it back up to full pressure.
For under $300 I can't complain...except for the noise level.
But you get use to it.
Buy yourself a good air/water/oil dryer/separator to put in the line.
I did end up with a few water droplets while painting the car.
...can't comment on the C.H. unit. ...never used/owned one
hope some of this rambling helps.
