Rack and Pinion conversion for a TR3A

I am considering the pros and cons of converting my TR3A to rack and
pinion steering.  I am not restoring the car for concourse competition
but for a driver.  I am also interested in a "bolt on" conversion so
that I, or someone else, would be able to restore it to the original
condition.
