Talking about that tank welding joke, the old Alfa mecanics who
taught me all the basics over a decade ago mentionned that welding a
gas tank with the gas inside was an accepted practice back in the
60's. It was done by those who did not want to take the time to empty
it and fill it with water instead. The tank as to be a full as
possible of course.
Those who know "Queuqueu" will confirmn that he is the typical
no-nonsense it-must-be-done-right Swiss mecanics and he cannot be
accused of being light with good shop practice. This is maybe why he
never did it himself...
