Tim:
Triumph did not start putting color codes on the commission number plate
until the late TR4s. You could try to locate an obscure, under the dash
spot to find original paint but the only true way to determine original
color is to order a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate which
will list your commission number's original color.
