No magic here. I have been using over the counter silicone wires in my TR4A
with a stock Lucus dizzy and Lucas "sport" (40,000 volts) coil, for the past
ten years without a hitch. This past summer I put 1400 miles on the car with my
son on camping trip through Maine. We would camp along the Ocean, wake up with
dew all over the car, crank it once and TR would start. That is all the
performance I ever wanted out of the car.
On the other hand, if you want something that looks pretty cool, I have a set
of "bumble bee" wires (copies of the old racing ignition wires) on my Bugeye
Sprite. I got these on e-bay, but the usual suspects sell them too.
