Thanks Randall for measuring the SU jet bearing washer thickness. The ones on
my carbs measure .059" so I sure can see a reason for the mixture being too
rich. I'll change it as soon as I can find the correct size. I did buy new SM
needles but that didn't help. They look and measure identical to the original
ones that came with the car. (It has been in the family since 1967 so I know
they are original). I didn't want to buy jets until my suspicions about the
washers were confirmed. Since your TR3 is fairly close in commision number to
mine so I'll go with your numbers. Thanks.
