Can the "temperature compensator" cause extreme richness? If the tapered
plug is worn (not seating properly), will air or fuel increase? If either
of the two o-rings is bad (again); air or fuel increase?
Just rebuilt the thermostatically controlled chokes...they (seem) to be
working flawlessly. Recent rebuild on carbs as well.
Is it possible for main jets not to 'seat' completely when installed
(without a bit of force)?
