>I am considering converting the lever shocks in my TR6 to tube shocks. I
am
most interested in improving the handling and ride of the car. I am
wondering
about the pros and cons of such a conversion. Also has anyone had any
experience with the conversion kit sold by Blind Moose Fabrication. I am
running 205 series tires on the car and I haven't found any other
conversion
kit which can accommodate that size.

Ed, a friend just put a set of the new style conversion - the kit with the
one piece bracket - and I must say I am impressed. Many years ago I had
the older style - with the three piece brackets - and had to remove them
since they rubbed my 205-70's on one side. But this new kit protrudes
less, extends not as far into the well (closer to the center of the wheel)
and uses shorter shocks. And the ride is much improved over even the heavy
duty lever shocks.
Needless to say, I ordered a set. That and a set of Ted's springs are on
the horiaon for my TR6.
