Subject: Coper head gaskets

Hello listers,

Does anyone know if a company makes copper head gaskets for the Triumph
1300? If anyone does, do they come in different thicknesses?

Thanks in advance

(Still trying to get it to go!)

I do know of a company that makes copper head gaskets for Triumph
engines. But I wonder why you want one. My experience is that they are
practically impossible to keep from leaking. When I tore down my 1300
race engine to install in my street car, I discovered that while I was
getting good power from the engine, the head gasket showed signs of
leakage around all 4 cylinders. And that was with compression far less
than the 13.5:1 that I have seen people do.

But IF you want one, contact Morty Dunst at http://www.headgasket.com/

He'll fix you right up.

Joe

P.S. I'll sell you the one I took off my engine...cheap!
