Laminated glass chip repair

I have a couple of small but visable chips in the very edge of a laminated
glass window  I thought of just using super glue to make sure that it
doesnt progress or crack further  the thought was that the stuff is so
thin that it would wick into the area and it does stick well to glass 
Any thoughts pro  con?
