Message text written by "Wages, Jeffrey" >Does anyone have the quintessential answer for stopping brake squeal on a '71 TR6? Is there an answer? < The anti-squeel shims worked for me. Pay attention to how they fit in there, they are direction dependent. Also, there is an anti-squeel ointment (OK, goo) that one can apply to the backside of the pads that also works sometimes. Good luck Dave Massey 71 TR6 (although the tires may squeel from time to time, the brakes don't) /// triumphs@autox.team.net mailing list /// or try http://www.team.net/cgi-bin/majorcool /// Archives at http://www.team.net/archive |
