When I was a bit younger everyone in UK was shocked at the idea that beer
could be packed in tins without irremedial damage to the precious liquid. If
you had to drink it in this ridiculous packaging, to open the can you had a
flat steel bar with a little notch and a sharp triangular end with which you
made a hole on each side of the tin.
If you did'nt have one of these you used a blunt screwdriver and your shoe
and the can when punctured would give a good imitation of a champagne bottle
in the hands of M Schumaker.
