Sunday night, whilst teaching my brother the lively art of the standard
transmission, i noticed a rattle at idle and at speed. Checked under the
bonnet and coolant was being flung everywhere from hitting the fan and the
pulley at the water pump was wobbling and causing a rattle. When turned off,
the pulley/pump can be wobble withquite bit of play. Must i replace the
whole pump and pulley or is there some wort of bearing that i can replace?
Also, i noticed the rearmost carb dripping gas from the bottom brass(?) pulg?
time for a rebuild or just a loose seal or what? any suggestions? and while
im removing the radiator for water pump access, im thinking of tidying up the
engine bay. any quick/easy way to repaint the engine block while still
attatched and make it look decent? tips/tricks appreciated!! It is a 1969
GT6+ by the way.
thanks, justin
