>From what I have read about these sorts of kits, they are more cosmetic
than anything else, at least for street driving. You'll find more
improvement by changing over to a stainless-braid hose and experimenting
with different compounds in the pads. If you find that heat is a real
problem (as evidenced by fade), then slotted/vented/cross-drilled rotors
will help. Oddly enough, better tires will offer some improvement in
braking as well.
