Question of Concern

Hi List,
       Does anyone know if the transmission tunnel cover on the Triumph
Spitfire has Asbestos fiber padding on it ?
Seems to me years ago when I had removed and rebuilt my Spitfire, the tunnel
cover had a paper undercover that laid on the trans and attached to the
cover....Ron
