Actually there is little here to be left to opinion. If the walls of the
intake are shiny smooth, the gas will stick to it and not be carried into
the engine. You can see for yourself, put some varsol on a smooth surface
and blow it off with your air gun (don't use gas, and do this outside) now
try this with a file. The shiny surface should still be rather wet, while
the file should have been blown almost dry. A matte finish with a 120 roll
should do just fine,but stay away from the mirror.
