My 1965 Lucas catalog still shows the rubber pushbutton solenoid similar to
the one used on TR2/3; but the design had some minor changes over the years.
Around 1961, the housing went from die-cast to steel; and the side terminal
became a riveted 'Lucar' connector rather than the post and nut used
earlier.  These changes apparently did not occur at the same time, all 4
variants are shown.  At least some of the "die-cast/Lucar" versions had a
Lucar terminal under a nut on the side terminal, perhaps all of them did.

The TR4 listing also shows a "cold climate" version of the solenoid, same
model number but a different Lucas part number.  Anyone know anything about
this ?
