Hi John,
Regarding this seal, I'm sorry I can't provide a cross reference for you,
but I'm wondering about something. Exactly which parts from a "NOS brake
repair kit" do you plan on using. Since brakes are a safety item there will
be no points deducted at concourse judging for using a modern replacement
part. In fact, in my experience I've found that only about half of the old
master cylinders out there are even worth rebuilding. Since new ones are
available I like to replace them rather than taking a chance. Sure it might
seem like an extravagant expense, but compared with the cost of body work it
might be cheap. I'm all for anyone who wants to keep their car original, but
I wouldn't want to stand in front of a car using 30+ year old brake parts or
tires. At least not while it was moving. There are many ways to save money
on your restoration, I would respectfully suggest brakes are not a good
place to start. Oh, and while you're at it change out those 30 year old
brake hoses too....
Cheers,
John Matthews
