I've always used "Lubriplate" white lithium grease under the sliding rear
wheel cylinders, on the ends of the shoes and in and about the brake
adjustors -- as per the repair manuals. Can't say as I've ever used it on
disc brake pad pins, although it probably makes some sense to do so.
