Strange TR3A Comm Plate Letter?

Does anyone have any knowledge of a "Z" suffix number at the end of any late
TR3As? The commission plate (believe to be original) number reads TS 77317LOZ.
(And NO I know it wasn't for Zeibart undercoating!). I know some cars into
Canada had some Qs and Os as prefixes.
