Hello All, I had my TR 250 dipped. Down in Atlanta there is a place that
charges by the pound. I had my 250 tub, four fenders, doors, hood, trunk, and
all related parts. Plus Harley gas tanks, fenders, and related parts dipped.
For $505.00. My 250 had heavy tar under coating. Which was a lot of weight.
Their dipping tubs are so big. That there was a 1958 Chevy two door. That was
done and waiting for pick up. With the sand or media blasting. It seems you
can never get all the sand out. I have seen it come back out at the time of
painting.
PS. Just dug up the paper work for the dipping. "Unpaint Corp., 920 Murphy
Ave. S.W., Atlanta, Ga. 30310. 404-755-3329. At the time I paid $1.20 per
lb. And 5% discount if you pay cash. $480.00 out the door. Took about 5
working days.
