Quick Cylinder Head Advice

Hey all,

Just a quick note, I am going to be shaving my 7.75CR Cylinder head down to 
around 9:1.
I was all set with this Idea, until I wondered if it would really make a 
difference, as my car
has Stromberg Carbs. Though I am not really looking for HP gain, I just want to 
feel a little
more power then I did before.
