I say both. It gives dimensional stability to the frame when the top is up
as well as locate the top.

Subject: TR6 Soft top & webbing?
Hey LisTeRes:
Another club member & I were discussing the reason for the webbing
on a TR6 soft top. Is the webbing for.....
A: To position the top frame rails to help fit the soft top?
B: To buffer the wind on the soft top
C: Both?
D: Neither?
What do you think?
