A 6-blade might help but to me this seems to be the ideal case for a
supplemental
electric fan. Mounted as a pusher with the [TR4] cardboard radiator shroud in
place it is very hard to even tell it is on there. Like you, my concern was
long
lights and slow traffic so I wired the fan to a manual switch (rather than a
thermostat) as these situations can usually be anticipated long before the
engine
gets too hot.
Installation was simple and is easily reversible (no drilling or modification
required).
